The First Descendant's Mega Dungeon Conquest Event Turns the Upcoming Challenge into a Leaderboard Race
The First Descendant's upcoming Mega Dungeon will become a leaderboard race as part of the Conquest event, where players will compete to achieve the fastest clear times.

The First Descendant's upcoming Mega Dungeon is set to become a challenging experience for players, as it will be transformed into a leaderboard race as part of the Conquest event. This event will kick off on September 3, two weeks after the season launch, and will focus on survivability rather than simply defeating enemies.
## A Challenging Version of the Mega Dungeon
The Conquest event will feature a more challenging version of the Mega Dungeon, where enemies will deal more damage to players. This shift in focus will require players to be more strategic and resourceful in order to succeed. The event is split into two phases, with phase one running from September 3 to September 17 for premade squads of four with no duplicate Descendants. The rest of the players, including solo players, can enter the event during phase two, running from September 17 until October 15.
## Leaderboard Rewards
The top 10 squads in phase one with the fastest clear times will receive an exclusive Medal, a name card, UI theme, and a lounge ornament. The top 30 squads in phase two will also receive Medals and other rewards. Even if players don't place on the leaderboard, they can still earn rewards by clearing the Conquest difficulty at least once. These rewards include a name card, UI theme, and a skin for the upcoming Malicious Dominator Transcendent Weapon.
## The End of Karel's Storyline
Despite the upcoming Mega Dungeon and Conquest event, the developer has highlighted that it's not the end of The First Descendant's story. More story arcs are coming, although the team hasn't shared what those might be about. The Mega Dungeon and the end of Karel's storyline will come to The First Descendant on August 20, alongside Raven, Transcendent Weapons, and the new roguelite mode, Trials.
| Phase | Eligible Players | Duration | | --- | --- | --- | | 1 | Premade squads of four with no duplicate Descendants | September 3 - September 17 | | 2 | All players, including solo players | September 17 - October 15 |
The Conquest event will provide a new challenge for players and a chance to earn exclusive rewards. With its focus on survivability and strategic gameplay, the event is sure to be a thrilling experience for fans of The First Descendant.
