MLBB Rank System and Rewards Explained
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's competitive ranking system features 10 medals, with Mythical Immortal as the highest rank requiring 100 stars.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) features a competitive Ranked mode where players climb a ladder of 10 distinct medals. The highest achievable rank is Mythical Immortal, which requires accumulating 100 stars, according to a guide from esports.gg.
Players must progress sequentially through each rank, facing increasingly skilled opponents as they advance. The climb resets with each new competitive season, pushing players to achieve their highest rank before the season concludes.
All MLBB Ranks in Order
The ranking ladder begins with the Warrior medal, where many new players start. From there, players advance through Elite, Master, Grandmaster, Epic, and Legend before reaching the Mythic tier.
Upon reaching Mythic, the progression shifts from medals to star collection across four sub-tiers. The system uses stars instead of resetting points upon promotion at this level.
The pinnacle, Mythical Immortal, is home to highly skilled and professional players. There is no higher rank tier after Mythical Immortal. Players can continue collecting stars indefinitely to climb global leaderboards, a practice often used by professional esports teams for scouting talent.
How the Ranking System Works
MLBB's system functions similarly to other competitive games. Each medal contains divisions, typically numbered III, II, and I. Players win matches to gain stars and advance through these divisions. Reaching the maximum stars for a division promotes the player to the next one.
Losing matches costs stars and risks demotion. For example, a player at Elite III must climb to Elite II and then Elite I. Securing the maximum four stars at Elite I triggers a promotion to Master IV. Defeats in the Warrior medal do not result in star loss, providing a buffer for beginners.
To unlock the Ranked mode itself, a player's account must reach at least Level 8. Using a Double EXP card, available through free in-game events, can speed up this leveling process.
Seasonal Rank Rewards
At the end of each competitive season, players receive rewards based on their highest achieved rank. These rewards include unique profile backgrounds, loading screen borders, and a seasonal skin. The designs are updated every season.
A separate "Road to Mythic" system provides incremental rewards for hitting specific milestones. The guide from esports.gg lists these in-game rewards.
- Reaching Epic rank grants one 7-Day Rank Protection Card.
- Legend rank awards two 7-Day Rank Protection Cards.
- Mythic rank gives two 7-Day Rank Protection Cards and one 7-Day MVP Star Protection Card.
- Additional star thresholds within Mythic and its higher tiers unlock items like Seasonal Namecard Backgrounds, Mythic Coins, Profile Backgrounds, Star Protection Cards, and cosmetic upgrades.
The ultimate reward, a Unique Loading Border, is reserved for players who reach Mythical Immortal with 100 stars.
A "Season Journey" track also rewards players for completing a certain number of ranked matches, offering the seasonal skin and a unique avatar border.
Mythic Coins are a special currency used to unlock Mythic Skins. A new Mythic Skin is released every four seasons, with each skin costing 40 Mythic Coins. Players can earn 10 Mythic Coins per season by reaching the Mythic rank with 15 Stars.
