The partnership between Samsung and Activision Blizzard for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 marks a significant collaboration in the gaming industry.

## A New Level of Immersion

The Odyssey G9 monitor, with its 32:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio, will be natively supported in Modern Warfare 4, providing players with a significantly wider field of view. This feature, combined with the monitor's HDR10+ Gaming technology, will render colors and brightness levels with greater accuracy in various environments.

This integration will enhance the gaming experience, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the game's environments.

## Early Access and Hands-on Demos

As part of the partnership, Activision will host a "Call of Duty: Next" showcase on August 21, which Samsung will livestream via the Samsung Gaming Hub. Viewers will have a chance to receive early-access PC beta codes, with up to 50,000 codes available for the beta running from August 21 to 24.

At Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, Samsung's booth will feature a hands-on demo zone running the game on Odyssey monitors. A raffle open to booth visitors will distribute 500 limited-edition Vault Edition game codes.

## Executive Statements

Lee Heon, Vice President of Samsung's Visual Display Business, stated that the partnership is meaningful for introducing a high-level Call of Duty gaming experience to global gamers through Samsung's display technology. Cody Neal, Head of Partnerships at Activision Blizzard, added that the collaboration with Samsung will bring the game to life with vivid picture quality, immersion, and fast response times.

## A Strategic Partnership

This partnership is more than just a monitor promotion. Samsung will use this collaboration to establish the Odyssey G9 as the definitive screen for first-person shooters at the premium end. The early-development integration adds credibility to the partnership, separating it from a simple logo placement.

For Activision Blizzard, the arrangement provides a guaranteed showcase vehicle through the Samsung Gaming Hub at launch, reaching an audience that already owns or is considering high-end display hardware. Offering beta codes to Hub viewers also gives the platform a reason to drive traffic to the showcase.

## What's Next

The "Call of Duty: Next" showcase will stream on August 21 through the Samsung Gaming Hub, with the Modern Warfare 4 PC beta running immediately after through August 24. Players looking for a hands-on experience in person can visit Samsung's Gamescom booth between August 26 and 30 in Cologne for a chance at one of the 500 Vault Edition codes. The game itself is targeting an October launch.
