The VCT EMEA Stage 2 Play-Ins stage has come to an end, with three out of four Challenger teams advancing to the Playoffs.

## Challengers Dominate VCT EMEA Stage 2 Play-Ins

A total of eight VCT teams competed against the Challenger teams in the EMEA Play-Ins stage, with only four slots available in the Playoffs. The results have been surprising, with three Challenger teams securing their spots in the Playoffs.

| Team | Status | | --- | --- | | Enterprise Esports | Qualified | | Fire Flux Esports | Qualified | | Eintracht Frankfurt | Qualified | | FUT Esports | Qualified |

The first team to qualify was Enterprise Esports, which had a clean run through the upper bracket, defeating Fnatic, Gentle Mates, and Fire Flux Esports. Fire Flux Esports also qualified, although through the lower bracket, after beating PACIFIC Esports and Team Heretics.

Eintracht Frankfurt had a strong run through the lower bracket, eliminating Gentle Mates, Team Heretics, and Eternal Fire, an Ascension team that performed well against Tier 1 teams throughout the year.

## Power Rankings and the State of the EMEA Region

The EMEA region has been struggling this year, with the region falling behind the Americas and Pacific in the power rankings. Fnatic, a team that went the distance against NRG at VALORANT Champions 2025, has not qualified for any global events this year.

| Team | Power Ranking | | --- | --- | | Fnatic | #9 | | Eternal Fire | #15 | | Team Heretics | #17 | | GIANTX | #24 | | NAVI | #25 | | Gentle Mates | #29 |

## Heading into the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Playoffs

The VCT EMEA Stage 2 Playoffs are set to take place from August 20 to August 30, with the finals in Barcelona. The top two teams in the Playoffs will secure their spot at Champions Shanghai. The bracket is set, with Team Liquid facing FUT Esports and Team Vitality facing Enterprise Esports in the upper bracket.

Fire Flux Esports and Eintracht Frankfurt, who qualified through the lower bracket, will enter the competition through the lower bracket as well. There's only one Champions spot among these teams, and no second chances, so if any of them want to reach Champions, they must win four series in a row.
