A Palworld trading card has drawn a bid of $10,350 barely five weeks after the game's release. The auction for a PSA 10-graded Gold Soul Cattiva card, which ends on September 3, represents the first potential five-figure sale for the new TCG.
Pocketpair and Bushiroad launched the Palworld Official Card Game's first booster set, 'Dawn of Palpagos', on July 30. The set includes 100 standard cards and 61 parallel variants. An unannounced, all-gold Cattiva card with an SSS rarity quickly became the most sought-after item in the collection.
First perfect grade commands premium
The current high bid is for a card listed as a population one, meaning it is the only Gold Soul Cattiva to have received a Gem Mint 10 grade from professional authenticator PSA so far. Collector '808' noted on social media platform X that the first PSA 10 was about to set the card's market price, highlighting how bidding rapidly passed the $10,000 mark.
This price is a live bid and not yet a completed sale. If the winner pays, it will confirm Palworld's first card sale above $10,000. Ungraded versions of the Gold Cattiva card currently have an estimated market value around $1,550, with recent sales concluding between roughly $1,700 and $2,500.
Context within the collectibles market
The speed of this valuation is notable when placed next to historic Pokemon card sales. A mint first-edition Charizard from 1999 sold for $8,800 in November 2016, seventeen years after its release. The Palworld Gold Cattiva has surpassed that auction price just 34 days after its booster set arrived.
However, this does not place the Cattiva card at the peak of the collectible card market. Far higher prices have been recorded for vintage Pokemon cards. For comparison, the source cites a PSA 10 first-edition Charizard selling for $550,000 in December 2025 and a unique PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator card fetching a record $16.5 million in February 2026.
Future value remains uncertain
The card's current high value is heavily linked to its status as the first to achieve a perfect PSA 10 grade. As more collectors submit their Gold Cattiva cards for grading, the population of PSA 10s could increase. This would likely reduce the unique premium attached to this first copy.
