The Battlegrounds Mobile International Cup 2026 will determine which two teams advance to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2026. Sixteen elite squads from India, South Korea, and Japan will compete at Mumbai's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium from October 30 to November 1 for a ₹1 crore prize pool and the critical PMGC qualification slots.
The event features a single lobby of 16 teams across 18 matches over three days. Six matches will be played each day on a rotating map pool of Rondo, Erangel, and Miramar. Points carry over the entire tournament, with standings decided by placement points and one point per elimination. The top two teams at BMIC 2026 will earn spots at PMGC 2026 in Türkiye. The champion secures a Gauntlet stage berth, while the runner-up enters the Group Stage. Gates open at 11:30 AM IST daily, with the show starting at noon on the KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel.
Indian teams and key performers
Six Indian teams qualified through the BGMI Showdown 2026 Grand Finals. India's representation has dropped from eight teams in 2025 to six this year. Team SouL, the BMSD 2026 champions, have already secured India's direct PMGC 2026 Gauntlet slot. They won the Hyderabad finals by a 14-point margin, recording the most eliminations in the lobby. Their roster consists of Nakul, Legit, Joker, and Goblin.
Team 8Bit won three chicken dinners in the BMSD finals but finished 15 points behind SouL. Their player, Shubh, was named the BMSD 2026 MVP. Taurus from K9 Esports topped the elimination charts for the tournament. The full list of qualified Indian teams is below.
| Team | Qualification Path |

Notable absences include Orangutan, the BMSD 2025 champions, who were eliminated in the Last Chance stage, and True Rippers, the BMIC 2025 runners-up, who failed to qualify. Team SouL is considered a crowd favorite and India's best chance to win the international cup.
South Korean and Japanese representation
South Korea and Japan each secured five slots for a more balanced regional mix. South Korea's contingent is led by Nongshim RedForce and Dplus KIA, who qualified as the top two from the Korean Esports League 2026. Nongshim RedForce dominated that league, finishing with 213 points and four chicken dinners across 12 matches, a staggering 104 points ahead of Dplus KIA. The team also won the PUBG Mobile Macau Invitational 2026, making them the clear favorite for BMIC. Their roster includes HyunBin, the MVP of BMIC 2025, and Soez, both former DRX players.
Dplus KIA will compete with their star player Nolbu and new addition Cyxae. The remaining three South Korean teams-DRX, FOCUS, and GAME PT-qualified via PUBG Mobile Pro Series 2026 Season 2. Defending champions DRX are returning to retain their title but with a largely rebuilt squad. Only QX remains from their 2025 championship core, joined by BINI from Nongshim and Hoxy and TRE from FN Esports. DRX's roster details are still being finalized.
Japan qualified its top five teams from PUBG Mobile Japan League Season 6 Phase 2. Valor won that league decisively with 341 points. The competition was tight behind them, with only 45 points separating first from fifth place and a mere nine points between second and fourth. REIGNITE, Versus, MAKING THE ROAD, and KINOTROPE gaming round out the Japanese contingent. REJECT finished sixth with 253 points, missing qualification by 43 points.
Event logistics and stakes
BMIC 2026 is the second edition of this international LAN event, organized by KRAFTON India. All 16 teams are now locked in for the three-day competition at The Dome in Mumbai. Alongside the substantial prize pool, the ultimate stakes are the two tickets to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship. The format ensures consistent pressure, with every elimination and placement point carrying weight across the entire 18-match series.
Tickets for the live event are available on the District app starting at ₹499. For the global audience, the action will be streamed live. The event promises high-stakes battles as regional powerhouses collide. South Korea's Nongshim RedForce enters as the team to beat, but India's Team SouL carries home crowd hopes and a proven track record of eliminations. Team SouL has already secured its PMGC 2026 Gauntlet slot by winning BMSD, but victory in Mumbai would cement their status as a global contender.
