Hush Joins VALORANT as 30th Agent on October 27

Hush, VALORANT's new Duelist agent, will be released on October 27, 2026, as part of patch 13.09. She is the game's ninth Duelist and the 30th playable agent, arriving after Miks joined the roster earlier in the year. Officially designated Agent 31 in the game's lore, Hush becomes the 30th available character as the slot for Agent 8 remains unreleased. She hails from Guangdong, China, making her the third Chinese agent following Sage and Iso.

Cinematic reveal at Champions 2026

Riot Games unveiled Hush with a cinematic trailer during the VALORANT Champions 2026 grand finals in Shanghai. The reveal took place as LOUD faced Team Vitality for the championship title. Her visual design features long pale lilac hair, glowing magenta eyes, and a dark cropped jacket adorned with traditional Chinese patterns. In her reveal art, a pink aura surrounds her alongside floating geometric dice marked with glowing glyphs.

Core utility focuses on manipulation

Hush's kit is built around manipulating utility and controlling space from a distance. Her passive ability, Telekinesis, allows her to pick up weapons, the Spike, flip switches, and interact with objects from an increased range, including defusing the Spike remotely.

Her active abilities center on steering projectiles and disrupting enemy positions. Nicholas Smith from Riot Games explained the design philosophy: "We kept coming back to the idea that Hush shouldn’t just throw utility, she should be able to manipulate it."

Her Flashbulb offers more post-throw control than similar abilities like Phoenix's Curveball. Displacement has no direct counterpart in the current roster, providing unique crowd control by grouping and stunning enemies. The cinematic trailer, titled 'Rise and Fall', showed her telekinetic prowess, depicting her taking down gangsters in a restaurant by manipulating objects and stealing a Ghost pistol.

Competitive timeline and access

Hush joins the live game with Season 26, Act VI. Her release is scheduled for October 27 in the Americas and October 28 in all other regions. Players will unlock her by earning XP during a dedicated recruitment event, though specific unlock requirements are not published. She is the first new agent released since the introduction of the Agent Mastery system and will launch with her own reward track.

She is not expected to be immediately available for professional play in the VCT. Her arrival comes as the 2026 competitive season concludes, with the Game Changers Championship in São Paulo running until November 1 and partner teams rebuilding rosters for VCT 2027. Full ability costs, cooldowns, and ultimate point requirements have not been revealed. Balance adjustments are anticipated in the patches following her release. Hush's global rollout completes on October 28 with patch 13.09.
