Tournament Context

This win is FURIA's second tier-1 trophy of the season and a confidence booster ahead of the PGL Major. It follows their Thunderpick World Championship title from October. FURIA, as a team, fell short multiple times in the first half of the season despite making deep runs at several events. Recent losses to NAVI and Spirit had raised questions about their form.

A convincing win over MOUZ in this event showed they are capable of hanging with the best teams in playoffs. Their path to the final was built on such resilience.

Nemiga's run to the final was itself remarkable. They stunned the favored Vitality in the semi-final. The CIS squad entered the final on an eight-map winning streak and possessed a nine-map winning streak on the map Ancient. They are led by a 20-year-old in-game leader.

FURIA have secured an important victory that will help build their confidence ahead of the highly anticipated PGL Major. The team's momentum is now at a peak.
