Event details and format set stage for Days 2 and 3
The Grand Finals began on October 16 with a quick opening ceremony where all teams walked on stage and posed for fans. Action commenced at 2:40 PM IST across Rondo, Erangel, and Miramar maps. All 16 finalists started from zero points.
The three-day event, organized by Krafton India Esports, will see 18 total matches played. Days 1 and 2 follow the regular points system across six matches each. The format changes dramatically for Day 3 on October 18 with the introduction of the Smash Rule. After the first 12 matches, a Match Point threshold will be set at the leading team's points plus 10. The first team to reach that threshold and then secure a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD) will be crowned champion. If no eligible team wins a match in the final six games, the team with the highest overall points after 18 matches wins.
The stakes are clear. The top team in the overall finals standings secures India's PMGC slot. Only the top six teams will qualify for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Cup (BMIC) 2026. The broadcast is available live on the KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel in both Hindi and English. KRAFTON India Esports said, "Fans can watch all six matches of BMSD 2026 Grand Finals Day 1 on the official KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel."
The tournament will conclude on October 18 when the champion is crowned after the Smash Rule is applied on Day 3.
